Stories of Transition 14 August 2023

Stories of groups around Australia

We invite you to join us online as we share stories with various Transition and related groups around Australia - as we find new ways to connect with others in creating the future we wish to see.

Hear how groups in Australia are contributing to the transition from an Industrial Growth Society to a Life-Sustaining Society

In this 14 August session we will hear three different stories:
  • WA: Al and Tess from Sustainable Bayswater, a community engagement arm of Enviro House, will discuss how their group 'walks the talk' and 'talks the walk' on climate protection, active transport, and other sustainability issues. They will discuss their various projects, including the successful monthly Share and Repair
  • Qld: Penny Claringbull is the Coordinator of the Darling Downs Environment Council. She will speak about her experiences running a local food challenge aimed at eating only food grown within 150 km of Toowoomba.
  • Vic: Megan Baulch of Monty First Nations Allies will speak on 'Finding Our Heart’ Story Walk project: how a few passionate parents are connecting schools with the Uluru Statement from the Heart
In sharing our stories and learning from each other we help to make our groups and the Transition movement stronger.
